Here's what I've done since installing, created a ~/.xinitrc tht I copied from the default one in /etc, except I changed the last couple lines from: twm &Įxec xterm -geometry 80圆6+0+0 -name loginĮxec i3 -V > ~/i3logs/i3log-$(date +'%F-%k-%M-%S') 2>&1Īnd also created a ~/.Xresources that only has the following in it: XTerm*faceName: DejaVu Sans Monoīut again, for some reason, every time I create a new terminal (besides the two that pop up on startx) the font size is way too small. When I launch an xterm terminal, what resources does the window manager use to configure it? It seems like the resources the wm uses when I launch it as a whole are different than the ones it uses when I individually create windows within it. In the Debian system, the xfonts-base package provides the fonts that uxterm uses by default.
#UXTERM FONT ISO#
The Unicode font distributed with the demo copy of UXTERM is from public domain. Note: uxterm may produce unexpected results if the current locale is set to one in which the UTF-8 character encoding is not supported, or if fonts using the ISO 10646-1 character set are not available. Then, from the remote server prompt, run 'xclock'. I've got it to the point where upon running 'starx' I'll get two windows with terminals of the font size that I want, however every other terminal I create in i3 will have the smaller font. The coding schemes supported directly by UXTERM include: UTF-8, UTF-7. With MobaXterm, it is really easy to use X11-Forwarding: just connect to your server and keep the 'X11-Forwarding' setting checked in your SSH session. I'm trying to explore more fun stuff and would greatly appreciate any help!!Īnyways, I've found that the font size is way too small and have tried doing multiple things to change it.
