It is necessary to mention the emblematic voices that the station had at that time: Darío Cruzat, Justus Liebig Vega and Mauricio Reyes Ferrada, later replaced by his brother Luis Alberto Reyes Ferrada. The multinational record companies had as a priority objective that their artists be broadcast on Radio Carolina since the station was a kind of radio King Midas, all their songs were transformed into instant hits. Carolina outperformed her direct competition to become the FM leader in the age and socioeconomic segment it was targeting. However, it did not take long for his adversaries to realize that the new ideas brought to the station by Amenábar, as Responsible Director and Robayo, as Artistic Director, were beginning to bear fruit in the radio survey. The beginning for both was far from easy, as they were resisted by those who came from working with the Tarud. Juan Enrique Amenábar and Oscar Robayo formed a duo that made history in modulated frequency. When the Tarud era ended in 1985, Herman Chadwick Piñera was appointed as General Manager, who hired two people who would make Radio Carolina the most successful Chilean station in the mid-1980s.
